Hi again! My name is Ala and this is a little more about me!
• I was born and raised in Cincinnati OH and love photographing people while capturing the beauty Cincy (and surrounding areas) have to offer. From our city skyline to the colors we are graced with come fall, what a pretty place to take a picture.
• I am entirely self taught! I didn't grow up with a lot and that means no fancy cameras for photography class. Disposable cameras and then cameras on phones was a big deal for me! So I started from the bottom. I got my first point and shoot camera when I was 21 and started a hobby. Now at 35 I have much better equipment, lots of knowledge and experience, and I want to share these moments with as many as I can!
~ Thank you to all the friends and family that were patient as I was learning and using them as my subjects, even when they didn't want to. I am thankful for you all.
• I am a cancer survivor. The diagnosis and treatment changed my life in ways I never expected. One thing I did realize was the importance of all the moments in life, the big and the small. I want to help freeze those moments in time, the big ones, the small ones with images that you have to look back over the years to come.
• I very much did quit my desk job to begin this pursuit to turn my passionate hobby into a profession. That was not without the unconditional love and support from my wonderful husband, Andy. His love and patience is felt daily, I am eternally grateful for him.
• Black is my favorite color for wardrobe, helps my camera blend in taking some pressure off the ones who feel out of place in front of the camera. I also make silly jokes, I'll work on that. And if I don't have to take something seriously, I absolutely will not. I love making people laugh and trying to bring lightness to any situation I can.
• I have built a beautiful life with my husband, 2 kitties (Kitty Cat and Oliver), and 2 pugs (Wednesday and Eevee). If I am not taking pictures or with my people hairy babies, Andy and I are at a concert or music festival. We love live music and growing our list of all the music we have heard live over the years.
• Last but not least, I am an inclusive photographer and welcome the LGBTQ+ community with open arms. We are not just defined by the shapes of our bodies, the color of our skin, or what direction love takes us in,, we are beyond that. I believe we should show love through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds and if you have the chance to help someone, do it.

"Ala recently took my daughters senior photos and I am blown away! She captured the most amazing pics of my girl. Every single picture is beyond anything we had hoped for in a senior session. I cannot recommend her enough!"

"We are a family of awkward humans, and do not photograph well because of it. 😂 Our pictures turned out great, and she coached us through those moments I had no idea what to do with my hands (or face, or body ..)"
